Love the boards, the package contents make it a 4 star...

I have these installed on my 2004 Dodge Ram Quad Cab and I absolutely love them. The reason for the 4 stars was I was missing parts when it arrived. I initially opened the box and thought everything was there. There were 2 white foam wrapped items, I opened one and saw it was the motor, so I assumed the other one was the other motor. When I started to install the boards, I realized the other white wrapped item was actually the brain, so I was missing a motor. At this point I had half of the thing installed. Luckily, Bestop is located where I live, so it was just a matter of driving up there to get a motor. However, not only was the motor missing, but the bolts for the motor were also missing, so I had to drive up there again. Also, I had a number of extra bolts that never got used. Make sure you check everything before you install.

Nice running boards

These bestop power boards are really nice can't see them at all under the truck. As far as the install goes I had a local body shop install them. They were the first ones he had ever done and it took a little over 5hrs but it wasnt a hard job just alot of steps to go through.

2004 Dodge 2500 Quad Cab

I have two elderly parents, a pregnant wife, and an 11 year old daughter that all complained about climbing into my truck. These Bestop PowerBoards are able to drop down lower standard running boards because they retract, and help make the step up into the truck much easier.
I am mechanical and was able to install them myself. The one issue was the incorrect identification of the wiring harness location on my 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 Quad Cab pickup for the open door indicator wires. The harness was located behind the dimmer switch and not down the right side of the stearing column as identified in the instructions.
Overall I was hesitant to spend $800 when, in my opinion, a $140 pair of basic running boards would accomplish the task. I have had them installed for two weeks and would not trade them for anything.
